The vision of CannaPacific Solutions is both Regional and Global.
At the Regional level, CannaPacific Solutions will be a market leader for the production of medical cannabis and hemp in the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Region. CannaPacific Solutions will produce medical cannabis and hemp where regulated, and will then move up the value chain, exporting medical cannabis and hemp to ASEAN countries where laws and regulations allow. Together with partners, with EU-Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Certification, we will develop value-add products to meet the evolving needs of global medical cannabis and hemp customers.
The ASEAN market alone is massive. Total combined GDP of ASEAN was valued at US$3.0 trillion in 2018, positioning ASEAN as the fifth largest economy in the world. Only the United States (US$20.5 trillion), China (US$13.4 trillion), Japan (US$5.0 trillion), and Germany (US$4.0 trillion) had larger GDP than the region. The region’s total GDP in 2018 was almost double that of a decade ago and almost fivefold the value in 2000. Similar trend was also observed for the ASEAN GDP per capita which reached US$4,601.3 in 2018, compare to 2010 at US$3,299.3, and almost four times its value in 2000. Over the period of 1980-2018, ASEAN population increased from 355.1 million to 649.1 million.
One of our strengths is the knowledge on how ASEAN is evolving as an economic cooperation bloc. We understand the potential of ASEAN to become a major supply hub for medical cannabis and hemp, as well as a source of technology and capital to support the global market. Different varieties of cannabis are endemic and grown in the different countries in the region, making it a rich field for medical research based on a more diverse set of genetics. Our understanding of the trading regime and evolving partnerships in the region will be key factors in the expansion of CannaPacific Solutions.
Our Global Vision
At the Global level, CannaPacific Solutions will move up the value chain, producing and exporting medical cannabis and hemp to Asian, North American, European markets where laws and regulations allow. Together with our partners, and with EU-Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Certification, we will develop value-add products to meet the evolving needs of global medical cannabis and hemp customers.
As the global medical cannabis and hemp industry evolves, its potential is certainly significant. The estimates on the global market range from US$28 billion in 2024 to US$146.4 billion in 2025. While market research points to a wide gap in estimates, experts agree that it will grow exponentially at a compounded annual clip of 19% - 25% as more countries open legally. However, given that the full potential of medical cannabis and hemp is still being explored, this number may prove small.
